Beacon Products was established in 1978 and has since grown into a lighting industry leader as a manufacturer of architecturally styled outdoor, cast aluminum, pedestrian scale, roadway and parking area lighting.  Seizing upon recent advances in LED technology, Beacon Products has developed a superior method of lighting public spaces through the use of a low-glare, indirect light source.  The high-power Cree XLamp LED's are mounted to a single heat sink on the same optical plane facing upwards into an aluminum reflector and redirected downward in a uniform and consistent light pattern.  For applications where light trespass is an issue, there is also an asymmetrical Type III reflector available to direct more light to one side of the fixture (see Type III and Type V photometrics below).  Common features of all of Beacon's LED designs include:
