The Aurora Parking Structure Luminaire is a ceiling or stem mounted parking garage luminaire which is comprised of a mounting apparatus (flush-ceiling or stem), heat-sinking housing, removable end caps, enclosed LED engine/optical system and pullout component tray. All cast aluminum parts are low copper alloy A356. Extruded aluminum housing is fully anodized 6063-T6 aluminum alloy. Mounting For flush ceiling mount configurations, a formed 14 gauge fully galvanized steel bracket is provided. The FCM is designed to cover a standard single-gang j-box and may be attached independently of the luminaire to ease installation. The Aurora luminaire may also be suspended by the stainless steel hanger rod during installation. An easy lift and slide motion secures the housing to the top bracket and the luminaire is permanently secured through the use of a single stainless steel fastener. Housing The Aurora luminaire utilizes a patent-pending heat sink housing, which through the use of horizontally-opposed fins, provides 6.9ft2 of surface area to dissipate heat away from sensitive LED components. The horizontally-opposed fins also prevent sediment and moisture from accumulating on the housing surfaces, thus ensuring the thermal performance throughout the lifetime of the luminaire. The extruded housing may be increased in length to adapt to extreme environments or to provide additional service life, consult factory for details. Removable End Caps Internal components may be accessed without the need to lower or remove the luminaire. Access is made by removing either end cap from the Aurora luminaire housing. The electrical assembly is mounted to an aluminum tray that may be removed without the use of tools. Electrical Assembly (LED) The electronic driver(s) are mounted with stainless steel fasteners to the removable component tray. LED driver(s) have a high- temperature, flame-resistant (UL 94V-0 minimum) enclosure. The input voltage range is 120-277 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz with a 90% power factor at full load. An integral step-down transformer may be provided when a 347V or 480V input voltage is required (consult factory). Load regulation shall be +/- 3%. LED driver(s) have output over voltage and over current protection and output short circuit protection with auto recovery. Operating temperature is -30°C to 60°C. LED drivers are rated for 385K hours (MTBF) and the LED source shall be rated for a minimum of 50K hours (70% lumen maintenance @ 35°C ambient temperature). The LED source is mounted to the luminaire’s heat- sinking housing and sealed to IP66 standards behind a thermo- formed acrylic lens. Dual drivers may be wired for bi-level switching. Lightning Surge Protector The onboard lightning surge protector shall be a UL recognized component for the United States and Canada and have a surge current rating of 10,000 Amps using the industry standard 8/20 uSec wave. The LSP shall have a clamping voltage of 320V and surge rating of 372J. The case shall be a high-temperature, flame resistant plastic enclosure. Agency Certification The luminaire shall bear a CSA label and be marked suitable for wet locations. Optical System The radial array of LED’s are individually lensed with optical-grade acrylic lenses. Type III and V distributions are available. Fasteners All fasteners shall be stainless steel. When tamper resistant fasten- ers are required, spanner HD (snake eye) style shall be provided (special tool required, consult factory). Warranty 5-Year limited warranty. Finish The extruded luminaire housing shall be fully anodized (clear) and optionally powdercoated. Mounting brackets shall be fully galva- nized steel. End caps are powdercoated. Powdercoat finish shall be Beacote V (AAMA 2604) polyester powdercoat paint electrostat- ically applied and thermocured. Luminaires shall be subjected to chemical pre-treatment prior to painting by full immersion process.
